Actual Load

The term load in this illustration is the total final consumption in the APG control area, including grid losses. The load is usually published with an one-hour delay and is calculated as the sum of power plant feeds and imports minus the exports and consumption of pumped storage power plants, whereby a total plant schedule is used for all non-individually recorded power plants (usually small plants).

As of 1 January 2015, to keep consistency with the data published according to Commission Regulation No 543/2013, the consumption of pumped storage power plants will not be further considered in the calculation of the term load!
The Tyrolean grid area has been included in the published load since 2011. The APG control area comprises all of Austria since 2012, with the exception of a corridor in Vorarlberg.
